Receptive Language

Talk to Me: I'm Listening!

In the weeks after her birth, your baby will become more and more aware of the world around her, and this includes listening to the sounds in her environment. She may stop and turn towards a new sound, startle at a loud one, or listen and respond to your words. When you talk to her, she'll show you she's listening by smiling, kicking her legs, or quietly looking into your eyes. She may also respond with her own babbles, letting you know that she wants to be part of the conversation.

Has your baby achieved the following Receptive Language developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
