Appreciation and Knowledge of Books and Stories

A Love of Reading Starts Early!

Your child is likely still a big fan of story time, but with her more advanced language skills you can make this time together even more interesting. Exercise her comprehension skills by asking questions about the characters, plot, or pictures. Or build her memory by asking her to retell her favorite stories. Give her props and have her act out the story or add sounds. All this will help to keep her excited about reading and telling stories.

Has your child achieved the following Reading Books and Stories developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
