Sensory Exploration

Listen, Sniff, Taste, and Touch

Your baby was born with the instincts and reflexes to help her survive "life on the outside," but she will quickly begin using Sensory Exploration to learn about the world around her. Even before birth, She could hear sounds (like your voice!), and her senses of taste and smell were ready to go from the start. This means she was quickly able to recognize your scent and even "taste" different foods in breast milk. So, go ahead and expose her to a variety of different sensations; the more she experiences, the more she'll learn.

Has your baby achieved the following Sensory Exploration developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
