Understanding Construction, Engagement and Persistence

What is persistence, and why is it important? It is the ability to focus on a task for a reasonable period of time, and can help children stay interested and motivated, which will lead to greater success later in life. You can help your child build her persistence by nurturing her independence and encouraging her to solve age appropriate challenges, such as assembling puzzles or building with blocks.
