Toddler Milestones in Writing!

Can your child pick out her favorite box of cereal at the supermarket, or recognize the first letter of her name in other printed words? She'll be able to do these things with her growing Awareness of Print and Illustration skills. Try putting her name on her belongings or label her toys with both pictures and words, which will help her learn and recognize common words, or pointing out common symbols, like stop signs or numbers. She'll probably enjoy different Early Writing activities, like tracing her name with a pencil or finger painting the numbers one through ten, which will get her excited about writing on her own!

Has your toddler achieved the following Awareness of Print and Illustration and Early Writing developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
