Using Art to Express Feelings

Some kids are talkers and are quite good at expressing their emotions verbally. Other children will show you how they're feeling through their art and play. Does your child play pretend, acting out a scene from daily life that he is trying to process? Or perhaps the artwork he created shows what he is processing on the inside. Observe what he's making and ask him to tell you about it to gain some insight into how he's feeling.

Has your child achieved the following Expressing Feelings developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) he has already mastered to date!
