Receptive Language

Following Rules and Being Part of Conversations

As your child's attention span and focus grow, you'll see her better able to follow instructions and listen to a longer story. Model good listening skills, and encourage her to be a good listener. Another interesting development at this age is your child's interest in "law enforcement;" that is, following the rules. She may let other children know if they are breaking or bending the rules, telli them to use their "inside voice", or put the books back on that shelf.

Has your toddler achieved the following Receptive Language developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
