Using Full Sentences – What a Concept! Your Child's Language Skills Taking a Leap from Words to Sentences to Paragraphs

Your child's language development is really exploding at this age! his vocabulary is growing day by day, and his sentences are becoming longer and more varied. By three years old, most toddlers can produce simple, 3-4 word sentences, such as "Doggie go out." By four years old, however, your child may be able to tell you a whole story about his afternoon at Grandma's house, using more complex sentences as his understanding of the different parts of speech grows. Not that he understands them consciously! That is one of the amazing things about language, that our children can simply pick up on complicated parts of speech that would challenge us as adults.

Has your child achieved the following Expressive Language developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all of the skill(s) he has already mastered to date.
