Drawing the World around Me: Making Drawings that are More and More Representative
For children, art starts out as scribbles and evolves into more controlled lines and patterns before finally starting to resemble people, animals, and objects. As the drawings start to look like different things, your child may also spend more time identifying them for you. He may make a large patch with his blue paint and tell you it's the ocean. He may make a square with little details, representing your house. You may even be presented with a picture of you, a roundish head with two legs sticking out!
