Advances in Your Baby's Movement

As your baby approaches 6 months old, he will continue to build his large muscles and make advances in Body Movement skills. This is due in part to his growing awareness that his body parts are under his own control, a pretty amazing thing to realize as he tries to figure out how to grab the toy he's looking at! Also playing a role is his greater strength, which will let him better control his head and neck, and give him the ability to sit while supported. During tummy time, you may turn away for a moment and look back to see that he's moved his body with the help of his arms. Look out, because this is a stepping stone to crawling!

Has your baby achieved the following Body Movement developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) he has already mastered to date!
