Expressive Language
Learning to Express Myself! Your Child's Unconscious Progress in Learning the Rules of Grammar.
At this point, your child knows many basic rules of grammar. He may use plurals and pronouns such as "he" and "she." You may hear him using prepositions (i.e. positional words), as well as words describing time, such as "before," "later," and "tomorrow." Of course, there will still be errors here and there, especially with irregular forms of words. For example, he may say "mouses" instead of "mice." But the really amazing thing is how fluent he is becoming and how well he can express himself, just by absorbing language naturally.
