Fact vs. Fiction: Your Child Can Now Fully Understand What Is Real and What Is Imaginary

At this age, your child has a pretty clear idea of what is real and what is make believe. Even though he will still enjoy playing pretend, he knows that he's pretending and that it isn't real. He'll understand that fictional stories in books, on TV, or in movies, are just that, fiction, and that what has happened in them isn't real. But he'll also understand when you tell him something is a true story. As a younger child, he may have gotten frightened at Halloween when his friend dressed up as a skeleton, but at this age, he knows it's just his friend behind the mask and probably enjoys a realistic costume!

Has your child achieved the following Reasoning and Problem Solving developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all of the skill(s) he has already mastered to date.
