How to Use Novelty for Learning

As your baby masters the use of her hands, she'll be able to reach towards objects she's curious about, so keep an assortment of colorful toys with varying textures for her to explore. Using new activities and toys can stimulate your baby's learning, but take care not to overwhelm her with too many choices. Instead, try to match her current interest level and stage of development for the best learning and development. You can also scaffold her learning - modeling how to use new objects - or let her watch her peers to learn by example.

Has your baby achieved the following Initiative and Curiosity developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
