Expressive Language

Babies, Masters of Language

Babies are natural language learners. They have the remarkable ability to hear the different tones and sounds that make up all the languages of the world. While you don't need to sign your baby up for Spanish or French lessons at this age, try listening to songs and stories in different languages to expose her to the vocal possibilities that are out there. If your native tongue is different from the local language, use it at home and give your baby the gift of a second language.

Has your baby achieved the following Expressive Language developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
