Making Connections... In Your Baby's Brain, That Is

Your baby has been wiggling for months in the womb, but now that he's in the outside world, he's got gravity to contend with! This makes turning his heavy head from side to side one of the first physical developmental milestones he'll work on. There will also be plenty of arm and leg movements, as he exercises the large muscles in his body. And don't forget to introduce cross-the-midline activities as they exercise the connections in his brain as well as his body. One of the first cross-the-midline activities he can do from birth - with your help of course! - is to switch sides when feeding.

Has your baby achieved the following Body Movement developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) he has already mastered to date!
