Expressive Language

Your Baby's First Words

What an exciting time! Your baby is continuing to babble, and may soon say her first words. Even before these first words, her communication skills have been growing as she points to interesting objects or raises her arms to be picked up. As you talk to your baby, let her watch your mouth form words and be sure to pronounce them clearly, so she can hear and see what you do and eventually copy it.

Has your baby achieved the following Expressive Language developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
