Talking with Gestures

In addition to babbles, coos, and cries, your baby has another helpful way to communicate with you: her gestures. She has been developing her Gesture Language skills by copying the actions she sees you use often, and she may now be waving bye-bye when someone leaves, giving high-fives, or pointing to the things she wants. By understanding her gestures, you can reduce her frustration as she tries to communicate with you. So consider teaching her some common baby signs to help her better communicate her needs.

Has your baby achieved the following Gesture Language developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
