Self-Control, Following Rules and Routines

Learning Manners

As your baby becomes increasingly interested in observing others, you may see him begin to imitate others in play. If so, this is a good time to start teaching him manners! Be sure to point out which actions are positive, like Daddy picking up the pen Mommy dropped, and which are negative, like one child pushing another at the playground. It is from your example, and the example of others, that he will learn how to be polite and act in a positive way towards others, as well as what the difference is between right and wrong.

Has your baby achieved the following Self-Control and Following Rules and Routines developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) he has already mastered to date!
