The Joy of Reading

Your baby has been listening to you read since she was a newborn, and now story time can become more interactive for her! This is because as her Vocabulary Knowledge has grown, so has her Awareness of Print and Illustrations. So while reading, try asking her to point out different objects on the page, or show her different letters and symbols in the world around you. Books with finger plays or songs are another great way to let her be an active participant in reading time.
