Expressive Language

Bye-Bye, Baby Talk!

As your baby's vocabulary starts to take off, it's important for you to support her Expressive Language skills. It's time to stop speaking in high-pitched "parentese" and instead set a good example by using clear, adult language with proper grammar. In addition, be sure to answer your baby's questions with informative answers that improve her understanding of the world and introduce new words.

Has your baby achieved the following Expressive Language developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
