Expressive Language

Helping Your Baby Communicate

Your baby's vocabulary is slowly beginning to grow to include simple, single words such as "yes," "no," "hi," and "milk." The words she knows, however, outnumber the words she can say, so there may be some frustration as she struggles to make herself understood. If you're not sure what she means, try asking her to repeat herself or point to what she wants, and make note of other gestures she's using. And be sure to show excitement when she's mastered new words.

Has your baby achieved the following Expressive Language developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
