Phonological Awareness

Sounds, Sounds, All Around

A fun development at this stage is your baby's awareness and use of environmental sounds. For example, she might make a "toot-toot" sound when playing with a train or say "woof-woof" when she sees a dog in her story book. She'll also be taking a strong interest in songs, music games, and finger play. These are all fun ways of building her language skills through repetition and rhythm.

Has your baby achieved the following Awareness of Sound Patterns developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
