Music and Learning

Music is more than just enjoyable to listen to! It can actually help your baby build memory capacity and improve her ability to learn. Moving to music is also beneficial, increasing circulation, releasing mood boosting hormones, and stimulating the language and motor areas of the brain. Your baby has been listening to music and sounds since the fourth month of pregnancy, so continue to sing and play a wide variety of positive, energetic, rhythmic music for her to enjoy. Pick music to suit the mood: for example, gentle lullabies for naptime and upbeat tunes for dancing!

Has your baby achieved the following Musical Concepts and Dancing developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
