Vocabulary Knowledge

Your Toddler's Growing Vocabulary

In her second year, your child will build her Vocabulary Knowledge from a handful of words to more than 200! You can help her vocabulary grow by asking her to identify objects around the house or in books. Now is also a good time to encourage the use of polite words, such as "please," "thank you," and "excuse me," and get them into her everyday usage.

Has your toddler achieved the following Vocabulary Knowledge developmental milestones yet? If yes, check off all the skill(s) she has already mastered to date!
