Feeding the Picky Eater

While mealtime can be a fun time of new food exploration, many parents have a picky eater and don't know what to do! Remember, it's common for toddlers to shy away from new foods. Just keep offering them to your child as it may take him more than 10 tries before eating foods he's unfamiliar with. You can try pairing the new food with ones he loves, or serving it in a familiar way (e.g. adding a new fruit to muffins, including a new vegetable in pasta sauce). Keep in mind, his belly is still small, so playing with his food could just be a sign that he's full. Because of this, it's important not to have any snacks too close to meal time. And, a hungry belly may be more likely to try something new!
