Squeeze Play: Developing Fine Motor Muscles with Water Play
Water play is fun for children, especially when there’s the potential for small (or big) splashes! Squeeze Play, one of Playful Bee’s activities for 18 to 24-month-old babies, takes advantage this. Your baby will love playing with water while developing her fine motor muscles.

Materials:
- Sponges and squirting bath toys (e.g. rubber ducks)
- Dishpan or bathtub
Directions:
- Prepare for water play. Fill the dishpan or bathtub with water, sponges, and bath toys.
- Demonstrate. Show your baby how to fill the sponge and toys with water and then squeeze or squirt them out.
- Explore. Hand the sponges and toys to Babee and let her explore or play on her own.
